You are made of seventy-three percent water. The human body is a complex machine. Many people do not take enough care of their complex machines. Just like any machine, different body parts sometimes go wrong from old age. The better you take care of it, the longer it will last.

JULIO CORTAZAR

Julio Cortázar, born Jules Florencio Cortázar (August 26, 1914 – February 12, 1984), was an Argentine novelist, short story writer, and essayist. Known as one of the founders of the Latin American Boom, Cortázar influenced an entire generation of Spanish-speaking readers and writers in the Americas and Europe. He has been called a "modern master of the short story."

Cortázar's parents, Julio José Cortázar and María Herminia Descotte, moved from Argentina in 1913 to Brussels, Belgium, where Cortázar was born on August 26, 1914. At the time of his birth Belgium was occupied by the German troops of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Zürich where María Herminia's parents, Victoria Gabel and Louis Descotte (a French National) were waiting in neutral territory. The family group spent the next two years in Switzerland, first in Zurich, then in Geneva, before moving for a short period to Barcelona. The Cortázars settled in Buenos Aires by the end of 1919.

Once in Argentina, his parents divorced a few years later. Cortázar spent most of his childhood in Banfield, a suburb south of Buenos Aires, with his mother and younger sister. The home in Banfield, with its back yard, was a source of inspiration for some of his stories. Despite this, in a letter to Graciela M. de Solá on December 4, 1963 he described this period of his life as "full of servitude, excessive touchiness, terrible and frequent sadness." He was a sickly child and spent much of his childhood in bed reading. His mother selected what he read, introducing her son most notably to the works of Jules Verne, whom Cortázar admired for the rest of his life. In the magazine Plural (issue 44, Mexico City, May 1975) he wrote: "I spent my childhood in a haze full of goblins and elves, with a sense of space and time that was different from everybody else's."

3.- Essay

My favorite pet is my dog Leo, his is Cockel Spanier. He is the best dog I've ever had and the first. It is  a very good company, occasionally he sleeps with me, I love him.

It's a very cute dog, its color is beige whit white, has long ears and a very soft hair that requires daily combing. Their eyes are very expressive.

A puppy is 6 months old and is very playful and biter. I like playing with him, but his teeth are very sharp and it hurts. It is a dog that is happy all day and playing with my family.

I like going to pass it on to the beach, he and I enjoyed it and we exercise. Leaving is very polite; obey your name and simple commands such as sit. It's a little scary to people, but then gains confidence.

Leo is the dog that came home to bring joy, is very happy and we all want. My dog is a member of my family very cute and biter.

2.- Movie review

A great love story with a final not happy. Who does not believe happened to find your other half, the love of his life, and that any minute all expectations, hopes and dreams all falling at full speed?

It happens, and more often to women. This film is interesting because it changes the typical role and presents it in the                case of a man. Joseph-Gordon plays Tom, a young architect working thwarted love writing cards. A typical day in the elevator is when their love story begins with Summer (Zooey Deschanel), joined by the music of The Smiths.

The love story unfolds in 500 days, where Tom has big expectations, but the reality is hard and everything is doomed to failure. She does not believe in love, or simply do not believe in love with him.

Summer ends with the relationship and questions the option of being just friends, an option that kills the heart and pride of Tom. She seems quiet and then she believes in love but not exactly in the Tom and tells him to marry another man.

Zooey Deschanel plays a Summer tender and beautiful, heart-melting and along with Joseph remembered how nice it is to fall in love but so hard that may be the price of this.

Personally I recommend a movie, I like the way it plays with the emotions and at any moment you change the course of history.
